Welcome - REBOOT
Sensory Integration for all...
Sensory integration has been used in Occupational Therapy practice for over 40-year, as presented by Jean Aryes in her 1973 book called "Sensory Integration and Learning Disorders". With improvements in neuro-physiology and functional imaging, the degree of accuracy and predictability in this type of practice has evolved. The initial principles of Sensory Integration; the art of therapy, adaptive response and multi-sensory activities, have been used with children with significant learning and movement disorders in clinics for many years.
Many other health professionals have been assisting with positive change in the physical, psychological, tactical, technical, acute recovery that is required for elite performance in sport and business. The one system that has not been address is the sensory system - which is responsible for our most basic (primitive) reflexes, our survival mechanisms and input for decision making and planning. With advancements in specific input/output testing for end organs and central brain structures; including the reactivity of the vestibular (balance) system, and links to primary emotion patterns, the REBOOT program aims to assist those individuals looking to refine their top level performance in thinking/tactics or movement/endurance.
