Life Skills 101
For teens who are building independence
Our team of Occupational Therapists recognise that learning new daily living skills is an important aspect to growing up and becoming more independent. This is why we have created the Life Skills 101 group for teenagers. These groups provide teenagers with opportunities continue developing and practicing important daily living skills, such as social engagement, money management and cooking, as well as problem-solving and negotiation.
Our upcoming group in October 2019, will be focused on developing team work, social skills and problem solving through completion of a group bushwalk.
If you are interested and can attend the group on the dates below, please add your details to the sign up form below. Feel free to speak with our team or leave a comment if you have any questions.
The group is limited to 5 teenagers (when more than 3 teens are present, there will be 2x OTs) and is four hours in total. We aim to keep the consistency for all members within the group and for that reason if you are unable to attend one of the days, you will need to speak with our team directly, before we can confirm your child’s place in the group.
