Occupational Therapy theories & Frameworks

Occupational Therapy according to the world federation of occupational therapy is “Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through occupation. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life.” These activities include; things we ‘need to do’, ‘wish to do’, or are ‘expected to do’ across our entire lifespan.

Occupational Therapists work in many different ways with each individual person, using a variety of assessments, interventions, and review processes. The key to successfully achieving your goals is to choose an occupational therapy service your ‘connect with’ and feel will understand your situation, listen to your concerns, provide education, and provide services to address your concerns or difficulties.
